Did you know that about 27,000 women and girls in the U.S. do not know they are HIV-positive? One in four people with HIV in the United States are women or girls over the age of 13.
On March 10, National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, the Office on Women’s Health asks you to offer support and hope to all women and girls. Help us reduce the stigma of HIV and empower the women in your life to:
- Get tested. (Go to http://locator.aids.gov/)
- Talk about HIV with their friends and family.
- Get treatment if they are HIV-positive.
- Prevent HIV.
